David W. Goins is the general manager and E-flat cornet soloist with Saxton’s Cornet Band based out of Frankfort, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1996 after attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a degree in Music Education and is currently completing his Master’s in Music Education from the University of Kentucky.
David has performed with many professional groups including the Lexington Brass Band, DiMartino/Osland Jazz Orchestra (DOJO) and the Louisville Orchestra. David has performed with Saxton’s Cornet Band since 1992 and has been featured on all of their recent recordings.
He is married to Meredith Cook and they have a lovely daughter, Ava, and two handsome sons, Alex and Aaron.
